In about 2009, I  __was__ (be) at a store in my village and a woman (come) in, a tourist. She (not want) anything at the store, but she (ask) about a hotel. I (drive) to my house and he (meet) my family, and (stay) with us for the night. I (think) she was a great person and later we (become) good friends.

In 2010, I (work) as a waitress at a restaraunt. One day I was at work and I (see) a woman alone and very sad. I (go) over to her and (say), ‘Hi, do you need help?’ She  (not have) any money and she (not know) anyone in the city. I (sit) down and (talk) to her. Then I (give) her some money and food. Now she’s one of my best friends.
